October 13th was the last summer hunt of the season and it was held at John Ball Park in Grand Rapids. Sixteen (16)
members attended what turned out to be quite a short hunt (because of the quickness of the sunset).

It was quite amusing as we were sitting around during discussions and the park light closest to us, and providing much
of our light, went on the fritz by going on, then off, then back on again! We managed to find a small flashlight and was
able to proceed for the remainder of the meeting.

Find of the Hunt was won by Warren Isberg with a smashed silver ring. There were actually three (3) entries this month.
Besides the winning object there was a John Ball Zoo elongated penny, found by Dick Blake and a 20-peso coin, its new
owner Joe Stuive. Congrats to Warren! The Find of the Month results are on Page 2.

All voting took place by a show of hands due to the lack of voting ballots and efficient lighting to read.

No discussion took place following the voting. Next month’s meeting will be held at our winter meeting location, thanks
to Dave Maultsby. For more details see “November’s Meeting Information” on Page 5 of this newsletter.

The hunt location for FMDAC’s Spring Hunt is Laughlin, Nevada at the River Palms Resort Casino. If this sounds
familiar it is because it is the same location from a couple of years ago. For those club members that went to the
previous one, it really was a time to remember. All of that camaraderie was just a hoot! The dates are April 15, 16
and 17th, 2005. You can find more details about the 2005 hunt on the FMDAC website at http://www.fmdac.com.
Here’s the basic information for registration deadlines: March 15th to receive the lower priced registration and the
cheaper hotel prices, March 31st for the next deadline and anything after March 31 will be paying the full price.
