year. Further discussion necessary. (July 2003)
* SUB SALE-No discussion (July 2003)
* PAMPHLET IDEA- John Chirco will work on putting something together to show to the club. The pamphlet's intention is
to provide the park representatives information to pass on to people that are detecting and need further guidance. "If something of value is found you need to leave your phone number at the park office" and detecting etiquette are the main topics of this brochure. (September 2003)
* MEMBERSHIP DRIVE-We currently have 27 members. Tom Baldwin brought up the topic of wanting new members.
Doug Stephans said that iw would likely we would get new members due to an increased interest in metal detectors and the widespread sale of detectors. Tom to advertise our club in the Advance. (December 2003)
* FUNDRAISING IDEAS- Several possibilities were discussed:
1. Raffle more donated items (According to hand vote, most members have things to raffle off)
2. Club members to possibly sell items on Ebay with profits going to WRRC
3. Possibility of a group-wide yard sale. However we need volunteers to work at the sale.
4. Raffle off a detector at a local mall. Set up a booth and let people try out a detector. Sell raffle tickets to
participants. Would need volunteers to monitor the booth. Tom Baldwin to check into the requirements. (October 2003) * STATE LAW ISSUE-John Chirco and Al Holden completed proposal for Senator Wayne Kuiper's office. They included their willingness to work with archaeologists at the office's request. The three page summary has been sent in and they are currently waiting a response from Angie of Senator Kuiper's office. John believes they are close to a sit down discussion. Dick Blake led a round of applause for John and Al's spearheading of the project.
